ARB GeoWell Systems is an entity wholly owned by American Refining Biochemical headquartered in Conshohocken PA. The company has developed proprietary innovative technologies relevant to the most cost effective use of standing column wells (SCW) for heating, ventilation and cooling (HVAC) of “green” buildings, including commercial buildings, schools and developments. These technologies promise to reduce the geothermal field cost for large tonnage (200-1000 tons) projects by approximately half over standard geothermal installations. While SCW technology is in the public domain, the company has developed new products, methodologies and services to insure lower cost, faster installation and “best practices”. As an innovation company, ARB GeoWell Systems’ business is to develop, patent and license its technology for use within the following project chain structure:
- building owners who champion and approve geothermal HVAC
- engineering firms who specify geothermal applications for bid, and
- drillers & installers who provide the bid and implement the specifications.
Within the context of the license, the company further agrees to provide engineering consulting services, technical support and installation oversight, so as to insure “best practices”.
ARB also seeks to establish a joint venture with strategic partners who stand to benefit from successful applications. These include, but are not limited to, energy service companies (ESCO), pump manufacturers, utilities & water companies, established HVAC OEMs, municipal water pipe OEMs and other synergistic companies. |
